Terms of Service
By using Hooley you agree to these terms.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live). Keep your login secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
Acceptable use
Don't harass, threaten or impersonate others, post illegal or hateful content, spam, or try to break or misuse the app. You can report and block other users. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own what you post. You let us store and show it to the members of your groups so the app can work.
Paid features
What you're buying. Premium is for one group and renews (monthly or yearly, as shown when you buy) until you cancel it in Google Play. An event pass is a one-time purchase for one event: it covers that event until 3 days after it. If no date is picked within 30 days of buying, an event group becomes read-only. Watching an ad gives a group 3 days of Premium.
Free trial. A free trial turns into a paid plan when it ends unless you cancel it in Google Play before then. Each group can have one trial.
Payments and refunds. Purchases are made through Google Play and follow its billing and refund policies. If a paid feature doesn't work as described, contact us and we'll fix it, extend your time, or refund you.
Outages. If Hooley is unavailable for a significant time while an event pass is running, we'll extend the pass.
Changes. Features may change over time. If we remove a paid feature you're using, we'll tell you in advance and give a fair refund for time you've paid for but can't use.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
Group admins
Admins are responsible for their groups: who they invite, what they post, and what they share through RSVP links. Anyone with an RSVP link can see the meetup details it shows.
Payments between members
Hooley doesn't process payments. Payment buttons (for splitting a bill, an estimated cost or a gift) just open another app, like Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or your bank. Payments are between you and the person you pay. Hooley isn't a party to them and can't refund, reverse or guarantee them. Check who you're paying before you send money.
Gifts, sign-ups and shared costs
Gift exchanges, sign-up lists, bill splits and shared costs are arrangements between members. Amounts in the app are entered by members, and we don't check or enforce them.
Information in the app
Places, addresses, opening hours, ratings, weather forecasts, and anything members post may be wrong or out of date. Some of it comes from other services (such as Google and Apple Weather). Check before you rely on it.
Ads
The free version shows ads from third parties. We aren't responsible for advertisers' products, services or websites.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We aren't responsible for meetups themselves, or for what happens at them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits or data), and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months, or $0 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [your state / country].
Changes
We may update these terms and will ask you to accept important changes in the app.
